Philanthropy

Philanthropy is a core part of how I run In the Wings VA Services.

Each quarter, I give 5% of my revenue to charitable and social justice works. I also contribute my time where I am able.

In quarter 1 of 2022, I will be contributing to the Victorian Actors’ Benevolent Trust. VABT has been supporting performers, creatives, and crew since 1958, and has been especially active throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, helping out-of-work Victorian arts professionals ensure they are able to eat, cover their bills, and pay their rent. As we emerge from the last two years, I look forward to being able to give back to this amazing organisation that has kept our community running.

VABT shares the following on their site:

Here’s what $1,000 could provide for someone in need:

- Two months of food vouchers

- Two months of assistance with bills

- Prescription glasses for two people

- Ten counselling sessions

- Taxi vouchers for transport to chemotherapy sessions

- A contribution towards funeral expenses

- Other important assistance devices, such systems as VitaCall (emergency buzzer to health assistance) for those living alone, sleep apnoea machines and railing for toilets and bathrooms, just to name a few.

Above all, your donation will enable the performing arts community to know that they are valued and that the VABT is here to help.

Stay tuned for the April announcement of how much we are able to donate! For more information about the Victorian Actors’ Benevolent Trust, click here. To join me in making a difference, click here to book a free discovery call.
